MICHIGAN — The Michigan Department of Tourism is offering discounts to people looking to spend the honeymoons vacation in the state.
Traveling in and around the state is now cheaper, with travel to some destinations as low as $150, according to tourism officials.
The price cuts will go into effect Jan. 1, 2018, and apply to all trips to the state, including those made from out of state.
The department said it is adding travel discounts to honeymoontowns to provide a more economical option.
Traveling to the resort of the same name in Michigan has a total cost of about $5,500, officials said.
The Michigan Department has also made it easier for residents to book hotel stays.
The state is offering a $5 discount for the first night, $10 for the second night and $20 for the third night.
