There are some essential steps you can take to ensure you’re enjoying the honeymoon phase you were promised, say experts.
What you need to know about honeymoon phasesWhen it comes to getting the most from your honey-moon phase, it’s important to keep in mind that there are many factors that go into choosing the right date and time to plan your honeymoons honeymoon.
If you’re planning a honeymoon, you might also want to consider how much time you have to get everything set up, which can be a tricky business when you’re new to the idea of honeymooning.
“It depends on how long you plan to spend with your partner.
If you’re expecting to spend the entire time together, you need a good planning system, to be able to plan everything,” said Anna Koehn, senior lecturer in marketing at the University of New South Wales.
But if you plan on spending some time alone, you may want to try and plan your dates ahead of time.
“If you are expecting to have an affair with your boyfriend, or are expecting an engagement, you should be planning ahead, but not over-planning.
You can still spend time together,” said Koeehn.
For some couples, there are benefits to spending time alone and getting to know each other better before committing to an actual wedding.
“There are certain things you can do before the wedding, and the couple can work out the logistics and get the date and place together,” she said.
“For example, you can organise a date before you get married, and then plan how to celebrate and what your family will be up to at the wedding.”
For other couples, being in a hotel with the family for the wedding is a great option.
“You don’t have to worry about getting a hotel room for the reception, or planning anything else, because your family and friends are there, and you can relax and have a good time,” said Ms Koehner.
If the honeymoon is your first honeymoon you’ll want to take note of how the people you’re travelling with are behaving.
“When you’re on holiday, you want to see the people in your group and the people who are friends with you, so you can make sure they’re comfortable and have fun.
And if you are in a group, you will need to be respectful of everyone in that group,” said Kate MacKinnon, partner at Aussie Honeymoon, a honeymoontouring business.”
We also like to know the time of day, so we know how long we can be in the hotel room,” she added.
So if you’re feeling overwhelmed, here are a few ways to be more relaxed and enjoy the honey phase:Use a honey-themed calendar.
Honeymoon planners recommend a honey themed calendar to help create a honeyy, festive atmosphere.
“This will make the honey more personal and make the celebrations a lot more spontaneous,” said Lisa McCue, managing partner at Honeymoon Australia.
“A honey-theme calendar can also make the events feel a bit more spontaneous and personal.”
For a honey time, choose a honey theme that’s themed around your honeymama, honeymooners, honey, honeypot, honeycomb, honey-pie, honey cake, honeydance, honey party, honey pot and honeycomb party.
If your honeymaker has a honey calendar, check out the online Honeymoon Calendar, which will let you pick out a theme for your honey period and share it on social media.
This will help make sure your honey is enjoyed and shared across the globe.
“We’ve found that people who have been to different honeymoon destinations are really keen to share what they’ve had, so this will make it easier to share the joy and the memories,” said McCue.
Haze your way to the party.
A honeymoon is a time when you can truly enjoy yourself.
“You can enjoy yourself with friends, family and loved ones, and get to know your new friends.
“If you can’t plan a honeypot or a honeydancing party, then consider using a honeymaker calendar.””
A honeymaker can make your whole honeymoon party more organised, and it will be easier to arrange everything that needs to happen,” said MacKillon.”
